Region History

Ten regions were created within EGA National in 1979.  At that time, Tennessee Region was created.  A national reorganization in 1982 expanded to thirteen regions, renamed Tennessee Region to Tennessee Valley Region. (source NeedleArts magazine March 2008).

TVR BANNER HISTORY

The current TVR banner was created by Iris Chapter member Nancy Pardue (of Tennessee) to display 20 chapter badges on a field of blue, surrounding the TVR logo (with legacy EGA emblem in center).  Each chapter created their own medallion to represent their members.  The banner has been modified over time to reflect changes in the region.  Presently, it displays 18 chapter medallions and the newer EGA logo at the bottom of the banner.
